This natural detox tea is an original infusion of Diya Tea which is crafted from the Limpopo region’s wild harvested Red Root Tea. The plant is similar to the African potato.  The Diya Red Root tea is indigenous to the Bapedi people. The Diya Root, containing Zinc, Beta- Carotene and Fiber has been enjoyed for over five generations.

In rural communities Diya Red Root Tea is primarily used in women’s health care as natural detox tea which assists to regulate menstrual cycles, ease uterine pain and treat urinary tract infections. The tea is also used as a general blood purifier to manage blood pressure and sugar.

Detox Tea Brewing instructions:

Add 1 tbl. spoon of tea leaves into a 1L teapot, pour in hot water, and steep for 3-5 minutes depending on required strength. When the tea is ready, pour it into your tea cup through a mesh kitchen strainer or slotted spoon to keep tea leaves out.

Add honey or sugar to taste.
